Beaufond Foundation, a leading charitable trust based out of Dubai having various initiatives in the social sector is championing the cause of empowerment of education as a tool of building the future of young students. In its latest initiatives, Beaufond Foundation has embarked upon series of charitable measures in different parts of the world with its operations in France. The French community are very generous in giving charit, with over 90% of gifts, food, clothes, and volunteering time, other than monetary contribution- and few of them not even realizing their generosity. Disabled and special needs children, are still on sidelines of French education system. Beaufond Foundation believes that the empowerment in education will enable young students potentials for its personal as well as national benefits.
In France, more than six million students have gone back to school. However, some children find themselves left behind because of their disability or a lack of vacancies in specialised schools. Beaufond Foundation has come forward to support the parents of disabled and special needs children. This initiative by Beaufond Plc, has gained visibility and public support. This September, approx 385,000 disabled students had an opportunity to attend school which is 6% more than last year. The above figures does not include students attending in private schools. The return to school poses a problem for many disabled students who have to study in conditions which are not adapted or are only partially adapted to their needs. And with enforcement of mask-wearing rule in place the students and their families faces another issue to contend with.
In India, Beaufond Foundation has been striving to ensure the empowerment of girl child through education by providing necessary basic amenities in government primary schools. The foundation firmly believes that the empowerment of a daughter empowers the entire family, thus leading to the development of society. The foundation’s vision is to empower a million girl child (elementary/primary schools) through education (initiatives of enrollment & retention) for their safe and secured future on or before 2025. Beaufond Foundation, has been collaborating with local community, organizations and governments, to develop literacy skills and support them to grow up with the relevant skills to succeed with integrated and sustainable solutions for the overall development. Beaufond foundations objective is to ensure, girl child empowerment by accomplishing higher enrolment, high retention and academic excellence at the elementary/primary school level. And also to enhance quality of life of the marginalized and less privileged in our society by addressing concerns of quality education. Beaufond Foundation believes that providing education among the girl child will be an important tool in transforming the lives of vulnerable communities.
